Please do not send us medical records, detailed medical histories or other sensitive health information. Free Women does not currently ask for or intentionally collect this information through the website, mailing-list form or general surveys.
2. How we use personal information
We may use personal information to:
- manage the Free Women early-access list;
- send welcome emails, educational resources, launch news, relevant event or service information and occasional updates;
- invite you to participate in surveys or provide feedback;
- administer future appointment requests;

- measure and improve our communications and advertising;
- maintain website security, prevent misuse and diagnose technical problems; and

We only collect, use and disclose personal information for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances.
3. Consent and email communications
When you join our list, we ask for consent to send you Free Women communications. You may unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect uses or disclosures already lawfully made.
We may retain limited information on a suppression list so that we can respect an unsubscribe request.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website may use essential cookies needed for security and operation. With your permission, we may also use analytics and advertising technologies, including Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel.
- Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the website.
- Advertising cookies help measure campaigns and may allow advertising to be made more relevant.
You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through our cookie banner and change your browser settings. Rejecting non-essential cookies should not prevent you from accessing the main website.
5. Service providers and disclosures
We use service providers to operate Free Women. These currently include DreamHost and WordPress for website hosting and operation, MailerLite for forms and email communications, Google Analytics for website measurement, Meta for campaign measurement, and SurveyMonkey if we conduct surveys. We may use an appointment-booking provider in the future.
These providers may process personal information on our behalf. We limit the information provided to what is reasonably necessary for the service. We do not sell or rent subscriber information or share it with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect legal rights or safety, or in connection with a business transaction where permitted by law.
6. Processing outside Canada
Some service providers may store or process personal information outside Alberta or Canada, including in the United States or the European Economic Area. Information processed in another jurisdiction may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement or national-security authorities under that jurisdiction's laws.
You may contact our Privacy Officer for information about our policies and practices concerning service providers outside Canada.
7. Retention and security
Subscriber information is generally retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Other information is retained only as long as reasonably required for the purposes described in this policy and for applicable legal, security, backup and record-keeping requirements.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No website, email system or electronic transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Access and correction
You may ask to access or correct personal information under our control, or withdraw consent where applicable. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Applicable law may permit or require us to refuse access in limited circumstances; if so, we will explain the reason where legally permitted.
